Andre Liem

After studying pharmacy at the University of Leiden, I was able to build up a career in Sales and Marketing in the pharmaceutical industry in the following 10+ years. I started out as a sales rep, I then held various marketing positions such as Business Unit Manager CNS (Sanofi), Business Unit Manager Immunology (Serono) and Marketing Manager (Fornix Biosciences).

After this period of “corporate life” I was offered the opportunity to help make a small start-up company, Ariez, a success. I seized this opportunity and challenge with both hands! At Ariez I was responsible for Sales in the Netherlands. For the last ten years I have focused my attention and energy on building a successful Ariez branch in Belgium. I do this with great pleasure!

Favourite media

My day often starts with listening to the latest news on the BBC World News and reading various online morning newspapers. In addition, I enjoy listening to Spotify when I’m working at home or just when I’m relaxing. I am not a true “social media tiger”, but occasionally I use Facebook to keep up with the activities of my family and friends in Indonesia, Hong Kong, USA, Australia and other places across the globe. I find LinkedIn professionally useful to keep me up to date about who’s moved on to a new job or function.

Relax time

For me, relaxing means spending a lot of quality time with my family. I love going on holidays to faraway places, but I also enjoy good food at a nice restaurant with good friends.
